Hi,
I have a very big problem !!!
I'm calling a report from a IE6 and the Activex Viewer shows me only the first page. It seems there's activity but the report don't finish at all. If i press stop & page after (some times) the report reach the other page, but it difficult to use (and i can't proffer to my customers).
If i calling the same report from a IE5.5 all is OK!!!
I'm using an asp structure (in IIS 5) based on CR9 and sscreport.asp, rptserver.asp and so on.
Is there anybody who have the same problem ?
Any help would be very appreciated.

Thank's in advance.

Does the web server on which you are running the asp pages have an "_" in its name (or other character no longer supported as a valid DNS name)? See the Microsoft KB article Q313675. There is the following quote in the article: "ASP cookies are blocked if the servername has non DNS supported characters in it."

I believe the Crystal ActiveX viewer needs to use ASP cookies, so if your server's name doesn't conform to the standard required for IE 6, you'll need to try one of the following (this is from the Crystal Decisions KB, article c2010565):

"The workaround is to use the IP address for the website instead of the web server name OR rename the web server. "

While the issue addressed in Crystal's KB is for Crystal Enterprise, I modeled a scenario where the web server name contained an "_" and I was unable to run a report via the asp pages that you are using (rptserver.asp, etc.). However I had been able to run the same report using the same asp pages and report on a web server named using DNS supported characters. So, this may be your issue.

Thank's a lot for your intresting,
but i already known the prolem of the "_" in the web-server-name, and my web-server-name do not contains forbidden character.
I suppose the problem is inherent to a some aspect of the IE security not completely considered by Crystal. And so, the SmartViewerActiveX not work properly with IE6.

Best regards.
