I use VB 6 program to copy file from a server to a local pc using filecopy statement, but it seems to be very slow, it takes about 2 to 3 minutes. however, if i use dos copy command it takes about 10 seconds. I am using win 2000 platform, have tried with different service packs, but no joy. when i use windows explorer, problem seems to be worse. Filecopy works fine on win98.

Our server is a IBM optical juke BOX, with OS/2 controller and runs netbios to share the juke box across the LAN. Win2000 run the latest netbios patches.

Can someone shed a light on this problem.

Someone must know something.

Please help us.

Thanks in advance

Then it is not Vb. I'd asked the question over in one of the OS or Net help forums [/b][/i][/u]*******************************************************
