Hello,

I have an issue accessing a partner's Citrix Server via our WAN/Internet. The Wan comprises of a number of sites running Cisco 827 routers connected to a Cisco Pix 525 at the centre. Port 1494 is open.

When a remote PC is brought into head office it works fine so it would appear that there is an issue with the WAN config (...?)

I was hoping someone else may have had a similar problem and has found a solution.

Thanks in anticipation

Not really enough info here to begin troubleshooting.

I am assuming that the Head Office is where the metaframe server live.

Therfore takes the WAN out of the equation.
Have you any port/address mapping that requires to be done ?
Any routing issues that can be checked via ping etc.
Are you using Alternate address on Citrix servers ?

Cheers
Scott

HI Scott,

the Citrix server is at a partner site accessible via internet. Current acrhitecture is Remote site connects to H/O via Cisco ADSL VPN (827 remote Pix 525 at H/O). Internet access is controlled by exclusion list on Squid Proxy.

Routing issues are OK as if we bypass proxy we can access server as well as if we go direct from WAN site to internet (not through VPN/Proxy). However, when PC is brought into head office can access server via proxy.

Not sure about alternate address on server as we have no control over it.

Any help or ideas appreciated.

Regards
