Hi,

We run Win2k Server with all win2k pro clients. On some of our machines, not all, the drives I have mapped on them sometimes show up with X's through them. After clicking three or four times, they finally open up. I don't understand exactly what's going on and why the mappings aren't working properly. What would cause this to happen and is there a way to force the mapping to "remember"?
I know a little about a logon script, but don't know where it should be stored or exactly what it should be. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thank you

Some howto links on the logon script:
In your case the following added to the logon script will eliminate the Red X's:

net use * /Delete /y
net use /Persistent:No /y
.... now use multiple net use statements to do the drive mappings you want here

Hey thanks for your help! Looks like some great info on the link. Happy Holidays!
