I have a 6x16 it seems think its a 4x16. I did a startup but it only gives me 4 lines to config, also it has dr1 software and I hope the software is not the problem for me.
if you at at dr1 do you also wear large bell bottom pants and have a black and white tv...drive an 71 super beetle...ac is a chunk of ice with a fan....still using windows 3.1/or just a dos based computer...thinking maybe reagan is still president...maybe its time to upgrade you are using a cup with a string
now on a more serious note..if its not an option then you would need to reboot to see if it appears again if not you will need to upgrade/replace software ...only problem ksu that is that old will not support DS
The 6x16 is determined by the s/w it sounds like you have a 4x8. If you pull the s/w card it should say 4x8 or 6x16.
I would think a s/w cartridge would be pretty inexpensive now.
Good luck.............
thanks for all the funny jokes luv2ski(really it was funny), but I will check for config. on feature card then look to upgrade if needed. Thanks again norstar world!
I was wondering if I missed something in the last 15 years or so. What is this about 4x8 SW in 6x16 cabinet? I have never seen this, but when the incumbent telco was to only game in town it may not have been offered.
Ya Rob its been here in Canada since the ICS came out. Small offices would get the 4 x 8. I think you could get a key code to expand it to a 8 X 16 but with old software like hes got its better to just get the latest 8 X 16 sofware. Maybe the above posts sort of confused this with the 616 KSU not the CICS.
I would agree that there is some confusion. I am more than familar with both the Compact ICS and the Compact 6x16. The posts would make me think there was a 4x8 SW cartridge for the 6x16 cabinet, and I have never come across this in my travels. The Compact ICS can come as 4x8 or 8x16 but not 6x16.
When the Modular ICS came out many tech's would refer to both the ICS and 8x24 as Modulars. While they are both Modulars it only confuses everyone when doing telephone support. I have taken to calling them 0x32's (or MICS) and 8x24's.
