When I add a new record in my HireJobs Table the default Time (Short Time + Time()+6 comes up preceded by the Date 05/01/1900 or rather as I have my Regional properties set to yyyy/mm/dd the other way round. This is on Win98 Access97 SR1 any ideas or would SR2 solve it? I'd be Very Thankful for any solution whatever the energy required to implement.

The problem is that when you say Time() + 6 then access adds six days on to it. If you want to add 6 minutes onto the current time then you must put the fraction of a day that equals six minutes ie.
Time()+(6/60/24)
Similarily, if you want to add 6 hours put
Time()+(6/24)
etc. Durkin

Yes you are dead right about the fraction I hadn't thought about it. But what was worrying me most was the 1900/01/05 date part but I realised if I just put Time() that the 1900/01/05 part of the Time disappeared and I still found that worrying.
Thanks for the suggestion I'll put that into practise
Regards
Jim
