problem uploading swf files

I tried to upload my swf and html files (they work fine on my hard drive) but when I try to upload them nothing shows up.
I have my main movie where all the other swfs load into, I published swf and html files and yes, I know they have to be in the same directory. Still doesn't work. There must me a logical explanation ...
Can someone, please, help?

I really appreciate your willingness to help. I'll try some other options and then if it still doesn't work, could I bother you again? (probably tomorrow)
