Problem upgrading to 6.5 from 5.1.7

Hi,
We are in the middle of upgrading to BO 6.5 from 5.1.7. We have created the new repository and can access using supervisor. Things look fine. We can also access the universes from designer. When we go to the URL for infoview we get the login page. Once we click login, it never prompts for an id/password it just takes us to this odd blank page. There is a logout button (with a few other settings buttons) at the top right.
Any ideas what is wrong? We've missed something in the configuration apparently.

What kind of server do you have?

I know that with a windows 2000 IIS server and with a windows 2003 IIS server you need to do something within IIS Web service extensions with the files DODOCGENISAPI.dll and ISWI.dll. You also need to have ASP within the IIS.

Sorry that I can not be precise. A BO consultant installed it here and I was only looking over his shoulder.

Well, I did some manipulating of the .key file. I moved it to the locdata folder buried under nodes instead of the higher level locdata folder. I also renamed it to bomain.key. After I rebooted the server, things started to work. I'm not sure which change actually fixed things.

Just FYI, we are using tomcat/apache on windows 2003 server for our 6.5 implementation.

Both things solved your problem.

The key MUST be called "bomain.key" AND it has to be located in the folder under the node.
