Problem Update Rollup 1 for Windows 2000 SP4 1

I have recently updated some of my 2K workstations with the new Update Rollup package from Microsoft using WSUS. For some reason, when I go to certain websites, IE shuts down with and error. I have already updated shockwave as well as flash and it is still shutting down IE. I have considered uninstalling the roll up package, but it throws up a warning of a bunch of apps my not work correctly. Has anyone uninstalled the roll up and if so what did it effect.

It would help usf you posted back the error in detail.

I have a guess though and the workaround for the moment:

Unchecking "use http1.1" in the "advanced options" tab of Internet Options and clearing the Temporary Internet Files cache seems to work as a work-around.
