problem running a program

I have LabelRight. It's been running fine on this pc since it was installed. last week, this pc was hit with some adware and spyware. Finally after cleaning it all out, i know can't run LabelRIGHT. when I do it says "Cannot find SHELL.DLL". I click on the close button and it says its missing designl.exe. I've researched on google and yahoo and can't find how to fix this. I can't even uninstall because it gives me the same exact error.

Can someone please help.

Have you tried reinstalling it over the original?

yes, and it gave me the same error.

I basically resolved it by going to another WinXP machine that had SHELL.DLL in the same directory as the one I was missing. I then made a copy and placed it on the faulty machine. That seemed to fix it.
