I just now installed RedHat 8 on my laptop. I booted it up and everything seemed to be fine. Until I tried to access the internet. I am unable to resolve hostnames, I have checked the /etc/resolv.conf and several other files and tried used the GNOME tool to set it up. But to no avail. I installed RedHat 8 on my server yesterday, and that computer can resolve the same hostnames with the same settings just fine.
Any ideas are more than welcomed. //Daniel

Well, if it would have just kept my ipchains settings I would've been a lot happier right now... ipchains was blocking the DNS responses, so no wonder nothing would resolve.
Thanks anyway. //Daniel
