Hello guys, hopefully someone can help me with this.

One of our locations is having problems getting email with the Microsoft Outlook software. This is not the location where the exchange server is at, but a sub location, they connect through a local loop.

The exchange server is up and gets all the e-mails and they are able to get their e-mail using web access, but when they go into their e-mail using the ms outlook software it will not connect and keeps trying to connect.

I can ping the exchange server and even connect to it from the sub location using the server name or IP address. I did a nslookup from that location and it finds the exchange server when I do the nslookup. The location is not blocked by the firewall either.

All the other locations can connect using outlook except this one. Any suggestions as to what is causing this? Thanks.

Is this location remote to the site? if you do a \\servername will you get a folder listing or does it require username and password?

What is the connection speed between the sites? Could be too slow for RPC... you should consider using RPC over HTTP.
