Hi,

I had installed both server and client on my machine. Logon mode was Windows NT authentication. I had stopped the service for some time as I was not using it. During this period, I had changed my Windows NT password. Now if I try to start the service, it reports a logon failure.

Can anyone help on how to overcome this problem ?

Thanks in advance,

See if you can ...

Get into the Services folder and find MSSQLServer service. Double-click on him and under the Logon tab, see if you can choose a valid account to set the service to start on.

You may also need to reset the SQLServerAgent service also.

Thanks
