I am a newbie to tek-tips so please forgive me if I seem off key. I've taken an Access class and have developed a couple of databases. One of which was a complex tracking application. (well, complex to me) Anyway, last simester I took Q-Basic and Visual Basic languages at the same time (probably should have taken them one at a time!!! too late now) so I'm very new to code writing and tend to get things a little confused. My problem may or may not be solved by code writing but here it is:
While trying to link to foxpro tables on our server, I've discovered that some of the tables that I link to won't open in datasheet view because of a "memo" datatype field. This "memo datatype field is in several of the tables that I need to link to. I've also discovered that after I've made the link, I can only query that table if I leave out the field that has the "memo" datatype in it. I am currently running Office XP. I know you guys are busy and I would appreciate any direction given. Thanks for your time
