Problem installing dot Net web services enhancements

We have a user with a windows XP machine. When we attempt to install web services enhancements on it we are told that the wizard terminated prematurely - or words to that affect. I've tried looking on the microsoft site for some reference to this, but have found nothing.

Anyone come across this problem before? Any suggestions of remedies?
