problem in forms with cell that relate to $ values. 1

I have a data base set up and my computer has had the software taken off and reloaded by a computer company.

Since then when I enter a quantity and go down to the next cell and try and enter the dollar value for these numbers the curser sits on the left hand side of the $ sign and it won't let me enter a value unless I delete all that is in that cell.

As I use this program extensively and need to enter $ figures in about 3 different cells it's very slow to have to delete what is in them now.

Can anyone help with the set up of those cells

In access goto tools on the menu.
Goto Options, select keyboard on the behavior of entering a field select "Select the entire field".
