Problem getting text to follow path

Greetings all,

In PSP7 I am having a difficult time getting text to follow a path. I start with a new image, draw a sphere, and then try to add text that follows along the outside of the sphere. However when I put the text cursor on the edge of the sphere, the cursor does not change to show that the text will follow the path.

What am I doing wrong?

Make sure that your original line/shape is drawn as a vector object. If your line/shape is a vector object, then the cursor should change to indicate that you are placing text. Here is a link to one of my tutorials that shows how to place text on an inner and outer circular path.
