Problem Devices: "NT Apm/Legacy/interface Node"

My son has an older Gateway 2000 that I loaded W2K Workstation on in April. It has USB ports that I tried to use to connect his new Digital Camera. The system failed to recognize the device. I looked in Systems Information and found in problem devices:

Devices: "NT Apm/Legacy/interface Node"
PNP Device: "ROOT\NTAPM\000"
Error Code: 22

Also, nothing was under USB.

I am not sure if these problems are related or what to do to correct these problems. Any ideas?
