I am attempting to copy a database from my test notebook to a production server. This is the first time I have attempted to do this with a copy database wizard.
I am getting the following error message:
Your SQL Server Service is running under the local system account. You need to change your SQL Server service account to have the rights to copy files over the network.
When selecting the source and destination, I used windows authentication, when that didn't work I tried using the SA software. I also tried doing this from the source notebook and from a computer that neither of the databases resided (the technical term for this would be "grasping for straws").
I am very new to this, and I am not sure what this is telling me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
DMM
