Proble using FTP

The Problem:

I used to be able to use FTP in GoLive and then it stopped working, I see connecting then getting file list and then it disconnects before I can see the file list. So I downloaded AceFTP (I've used it before) and with that I can connect to the address with no problems. Any ideas about what the problem could be?

The usual advice is to delete your GoLive preferences file. Then relaunch GoLive and set up your FTP connections again.
