Just a bit of advice im after really

Im working on a project where we plan to use linux clients to connect to metaframe xp fr3. As far as printing is concerned, ive tested it so far with local client printer mapping which seems to work ok (although it doesnt seem to like the upd) and ive tried network printing via publishing the printer through active directory and then connecting to the printer once the session is logged on which also works fine

Ive always worked with windows clients before, which has meant im used to having the client network printers automap with no issues, but with linux it doesnt seem as easy as im just getting gobldeygook when printing through a network printer through linux

question is, should i stay where i am and be happy, or should i pursue having the network printers installed on the linux client and having those autocreated ?

Help much appreciated

Andy

Have you considered connecting to your network printers using the Linux Samba client. It works fine on network printers in a Windows environment, but I haven't tried connecting via Citrix to print to the same printer (my Citrix development box has gone). If you have the time you may want to go this avenue.
