Hi all,
I've searched the FAQ's, but was unable to find any info on this, so I hope someone can help.

I have a multi page document loaded onto our LAN, that is accessable by a large number of people. At times, users will print out certain pages from the document for use. I need the document to print with a "UNCONTROLLED" watermark across it, but I don't want the watermark visible on the screen.
I've tried hiding the watermark and selecting the Hidden Text box in the Print options menu, but this is only effective on my PC, and not on any other PC.
I know this can be done, but not sure how.

Any help is greatly appreciated, as I now have no hair left.

Thanks,

Kev.

p.s Using Word '97.

kev747,
I wish I still had a copy of 97 but I'm on 2002,
Anyways You can create you "UNCONTROLLED" in PowerPoint then copy and paste to Word as a picture.
Format picture to "Behind Text".
Go to Tools->Options->View->
and under Print and Web Layout Options (uncheck Drawings).
Your picture should go away. The go to print preview to view your picture or (watermark).

Actually, Kev, you say "I know this can be done".

Unless you have NO other drawings and can use tav's method, OR (and this is likely what you "saw") have a printer that provides Watermarks, this CANNOT be done.

I know HP6's provide watermarks. I know other printers do too, but I don't know specifically which ones.
