printing to a lexmark bubble jet printer

when qued to print, error appears in lpstat "dev wait".  what does this mean?

hi drigger,<br>Printers usually goes in Dev_wait condition when there is a lack of communication<br>b/w print device and print driver.The most probable causes of the condition are hardware related so pls check cable connections,paper jam conditions,print server h/w<br>condition(if any).And if you are facing this problem after an upgrade to AIX4.x from AIX3.x&nbsp;&nbsp;then probably your cables don't follow rs-232 standards (b/c AIX4.x adhere to<br>rs-232 standards.So begin to use cables with&nbsp;&nbsp;atleast 8 wires and enable h/w flow control.So begin troubleshooting with checking<br>1.cables conditions/cables standards<br>2.Flow control<br><br><br>regds<br>shiraz&nbsp;&nbsp;
