Sometimes I will try to print a document on our G4 (128mb ramm) and it will give me an error saying there is not enough memory to print it, even after restarting. Then I will take it to the 9500 we have (40 mb ramm) and it will print with no problem. Whats going on?

My other question is: It could take up to 30 mins to print one Quark document. This is on the same G4 above and an Xante printer (not sure how much ramm it has). What can I do to speed up printing?? Its a real hinder in our productivity.
TIA
Jason

hi jason
on the G4 what OS is running
and how is it set up to print [ desktop printing,
print monitor ] over a nework or conected to the mac
printing to a print server over a net work printing to
a postscript rip theirs a lot of factors that play
into printing and not everyone does it the same
way but would need more info from you Greg

Greg,
The G4 is running OS 8.6. We have it and a 9500 connected to the printer via ethernet, and we're using desktop printing.

Anything else??

Jason

try creating a .pdf file and printing that just
to see how fast it prints Greg
