Hello

Excuse me, my English is not very good.

I'm new with Fox Pro so I suppose this is a basic problem:

I programm a REPORT FORM

Everything is fine.

I test it at home and it works correctly!! :)

I'm going to my customer and... Do you figure what happens?

You're right...

It doesn't work :(

Not because it doesn't print, no... It prints... So nice but... Miniature!!!

My printer is an HP, yesterday it fails in a Cannon one..

Other time it fails in another HP... and sometimes it makes the same in my own printer... But what exhasperates me is that sometimes works wrong and "when it wants" works well :(

Anyone can help me?

Please!

Many thanks

Daniel

The printer driver information stored in your report is for your HP printer, and is incorrect for the Cannon.

You need to remove that information, so go to the FAQ section and look for :-

'How to hack FRX file to strip printer driver information'

in the printer section.

Right now I can't access that part of the site and provide you with a link, but you also need to exclude the report from your project if you are using it with different printers.

If it is included, you cannot change the printer driver information because the report is read-only, and the problem will reoccur.

Helo Chris:

Pardon me for delaying my reply.

I tried what you said but I coudn't do it at my customer printer yet.

Anyway..

If that is the problem... Why happens de same at my printer???

I found that when I change my printer queu configuration from RAW to EMF my printer works wrong and right... but it doesn't happen de same at my customer

I found too that de report file has a lot of records... Which one is the printer record? According to your reply and others it must be the first. When I changed everyone I ruined the report file... Ufs! I had to program it again...

I really thank you very much.

Te agradezco mucho :)

'I tried what you said but I coudn't do it at my customer printer yet.'

You need to take to your customer a copy of the VFP executable that excludes the report and also the report otherwise the customer's printer will not be able to write the printer driver information to the report.

There is no need to change any other settings.

The record containing the printer driver infomation is always the first record in the table.

at your client:

use yourreport.frx
edit

the printerinfo is under Expr, Tag and Tag2
empty these memo fields and run the program at your client.

correct printerinfo should then be stored

success
