printing problem in windows server 2003

when printing to a network printer (tcp/ip) the system slows to a crawl ( 1 page every 2-3 minutes ) IF I am lucky. I am printing from a Windows XP - Pro. I have Lots of memory. Any help would be appreciated

Try disable printing spool and directly print to the printer
