Why do these things happen to me?

XP, printers, select server properties, create a new form.
In your default printer (We use epsom dot matrix fx880 but generic text will do - also occurs on some laser printers)
set every reference to paper size to your new form.

In FPW 2.6a modify a report. select report layout and then printer setup, you will see your new form in the paper size.

However, run it programatically and it uses the deault window form, in this case 'letter'.

It worked fine until the user upgraded from Win 98 to XP

Can anybody tell me why?[spin2]

As always, FPW and VFP till 8.0 stores the default printer information in the report header. If you don't explicitly remove it, and FoxPro can't find the exact printer specified by that information it will use the current printer. (However, it sometimes finds what it thinks is 'right' and it will use that instead!)

The solution is to hack the .FRX - see thread182-551155 for details.

PERFECT!
Thank you so much, Rick. That's located the problem nicely - now I can sit and work out a solution. Thanks again.
