I have a need to print a picture (actually either an Autocad .dwg or a .jpg) as part of each detail section in a report (the picture file name is part of the data record). Crystal Tech support says CRW doesn't provide such a capability. I have done it several times in reports using Videosoft's VSPrint but am now limited to using CRW. Does anyone know of a way to do this, possibly using some 3rd party add-on to CRW or using low-level Win32 API type stuff?

Sorry, thre is no way to do this. The only option for CR is to put the image in a BLOB field. Ken Hamady

I a problem like that, the solution occurred to me after reading another post from someone who got it to work with BMPs but could not with JPGs or GIFs.

Since I was storing image data only from JPG files (which are smaller), I tried storing binary data from BMPs instead and it worked. For confirmation, I tried storing some BMPs and some JPGs and Crystal Reports only displayed the BMPs.

I have only tested this using an ODBC connection to SQL Server 7 (it should work with other ODBC sources)
