Hello,

How can you print on the report the instance of the database?

Thanks!

There isn't a direct means, but you might be able to do this depending on the version of your software and the version of your database.

Try returning it using a SQL Expression.

I am using Crystal Report v10 and SQL Server 2000.

Since i am not an expert on SQL Server, how do i do that?

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks k!

Since you're after the actual SQL to use for this now, you're probably better served in a SQL Server forum, or contact your dba for the syntax, I have Oracle here and can't test SQL Server.

If you want the name of the database, create a SQL Expression Field with the following text:

[tt]db_name()[/tt]
