printing in dotmatrix printer-thru Windows 1

hi all
i have a dotmatrix printers to take reports from my application, while useing it from windows,the printer goes in graphical mode and prints very slow, as if, when i use the same report format in foxpro 2.5 (dos ver), its printing in fast mode, what i need is thru windows i need in fast mode, is there any way.
mean while i tried it with several fonts like "roman 10cpi" it working out,but there is only one font which is supporting in fast, pls help if u know...

Unless the printer driver you are using supports all the fonts used in your report in a "text" mode, then it'll will switch to graphics mode. The normal way to avoid this is to switch to using the Generic/Text Only print driver - this should print in text mode (quick), but unless you've designed the report properly, it may not look exactly like what you expect.

i have also encountered the same before.. what i did was i made the report print to file then issue a DOS "type" command to make the printing faster..

Try This,
1 - Use the correct printer driver for the Printer.
2 - Make sure you set the printer using 'File|Page Setup'.
3 - Select a Field and change the Font size. 'Format|font'

If you look through the available fonts for the printer you should see the Printer Fonts specific to that printer. Choose one of these fonts and Fox will try to display the printer font using the closest TrueType Font available.
When you print the report, The printer will select and use the built in printer font.
