Currently, we have about 800 desktops - - 300 in labs, 500 in classrooms and offices. We're printing directly to printers now, but I'd like to start using a print server to manage our jobs better.

I've used the windows print server, but I have one issue: I want the default printer to be by machine, not by user. For example, I want to configure the lab machines to have a default printer for any user who logs on to the computer.

What's the best way to do this? I've added a network printer to the machine, but that is user by user, and its not practical to have large classes of students searching through the AD for the closest printer!
