We are currently using Odyssey on one of our sever boxes and do not want to install Novell on to it. We want a task that will print batch reports to one of our Novell network printers. We've tried to locate it on the network by its network address and also by its JetSend IP address.

Is this even a possibility to print to this networked printer without installing Novell Client?

Any and all help is very much appreciated.

AFAIK, not if the printer is a private NDPS printer. You can if the printer is a public NDPS printer.

I talked to my boss and we are not entirely sure about that. In theory, we felt that we could locate it via IP because of the Jet Direct card in it...

You can bypass Novell altogether and just use standard IP printing direct to the printer itself. You will probably need the HP Printer Wizard to install the printer properly on the workstation, this can be found on the HP Website.
