SBS 2003:
We have a remote office where a user connects to the server through VPN to use an old server based software. The software originated in DOS and the printing aspect has not been developed to use client based installed printers, but the server has to have the printer installed to print to it.
I have set a static ip for the computer when it connects through the VPN. It has access to local files and server software, but I cannot see the computer on the network or get access to it even with remote desktop(which is enabled).
1) I don't know whats different(except installed SP1 series on the server), but tried it before and was more successful than today.
2) User does have Norton Internet Security but it was all disabled.
3) Is there anything I need to do special for VPN users to appear in the directory?
4) MS Firewall is enabled but with local machines that have it enabled also I can connect to fine. What server policy can I change to turn it off for a test?
Thank for your help.
