PrinterSetupDialog (not functioning)

Using Delphi 5I created reports using QReport. The reports work fine. I discovered that while I can change the destination printer and can print to any printer on the network, I cannot change any of the settings for that printer.

I've tried changing the paper source, paper destination, and nothing happens.

Is there something I've missed?

i tried executing a PrinterSetupDialog to make the
changes first, then print the report but this had no
effect.

hi,

most of the settings are also properties of Qreport. So if you want to change something you also have to change the properties of qreport. For example The papersize if defined in Qreport. This setting will overrule the papersize of the printersetup.

I've tried this. The actual paper size I'm printing to is 8-1/2W x 5-1/5 long. I've used custom and statement sizes in the QReport.

The problem I'm having is that no matter what the destination printer, I cannot change any of the default settings even if they appear in the dialog box.

For instance: I want to print a page and send it for secure printing. From other programs I;

1) click secure print in the printer dialog;
2) click OK;
3) Enter a password for the print job;
4) click OK to print.

If I go through the same exercise in Qreport, no changes register. This happens no matter what changes I make.

Am I suposed to put in some code to accept the changes from the dialog box?

I've never had to use a dialog box in the past so I am unfamiliar with the requirements to accept changes (if any).

Are you calling the tPrinterSetup dialog box? If so, have you connected the TPrinter selected printer settings to the ones in your QuickReport? (See

for an example.)
