We have a Wyse Winterm 9150SE that has an RDP connection to an office pc. On the Wyse Terminal there is a locally attached HP Deskjet 3845 mapped to LPT1. The user wants to print work from her office pc onto the local deskjet printer. I've checked the option under the Local Resources - Local Devices tab to connect automatically to Printers, and would expect the printer to appear on the user's office pc when the RDP session is enabled, but this is not the case. Printer redirection is not working.

Nope, the user is an administrator of her work pc, and I got her to login as administrator of the Wyse Terminal and she still couldn't see the local printer...

I think you are screwed. It is clear that the thinclient is not presenting enough information for the remote session to recognize the existence of the printer. This could be anything from not claiming an IRQ (although not needed) to not making an address space entry for the printer.

I can imagine how frustrating this is for you. You might be able to "fake" the image with Devcon.exe, see the download reference in my original link.

But I think you are screwed on this one. WYSE may have some advice, contact them.
