I have encountered problems with a newspaper which is printed out first on a Laser Printer HP5000N and then to film on a Agfa Studioset 2000. In 5 years have had no trouble using various versions of Pagemaker. Now I cannot print - the light blinks and them nothing happens! It seems to dump it on the Laser. I have reinstalled my software but it still happens. Have tried another computer which seems to be identically set up and it DOES print? I have checked everything and am flumixed. There are lots of links and have been a bit sloppy with them but never had anything like this before. Using Linotronic L330 and PPD for Agfa Studioset 2000 have also tried Linotronic PPD.
Would it help to reinstall PPDs? Would really appreciate some input.

Mayla: did you check "Print Postscript errors" for a test ?
If the special file has offending commands, then the job will
be aborted, but a more or less understandable log is printed -
if the printer is able to print at all.
Of course the appropriate PPD has to be used, but is probably
not neccessary to update, if the printing worked well before.
You can even use, just for a test, a simplified PPD like CGeneral.PPD.
