I seem to have a corrupt printer port.

I want to delete an HP Standard TCP/IP port on my ports tab. I don't have any printers utilizing that port.

Whenever I try to delete the port I get this error:

Selected port cannot be deleted. Operation could not be completed. OK button

No matter what I do, I cannot delete this port. Because of this I cannot add a new port because it states that I already have a port with that name. Any suggestions?

I'm having a very similar problem to this, except my error is "The requested resource is in use" when I try to delete an IP printer port. Does anyone know how to get around it?

I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.
