I have just upgraded an office machine from Windows ME to Windows 2000 Pro. How can I prevent the network printer from printing banner / separator each time I send a job to the printer? In Windows ME this was a simple option to turn it off, but I cannot find the setting in Win2k.

I will be very grateful to anyone who can tell me where it is! By the way in case it makes a difference, we are using HP Laserjet 6P printers.

Thanks.

Yes this was the first thing I thought of, and I've been through all the properties and preferences. I have found an option for separator pages but that only lets me choose another one, and I cannot find the option not to have one at all.

I found it, though it doesn't seem to match what you are describing but perhaps this is printer driver dependent. Anyway, I go to the printer properties for the network printer at my Win2K station and select the Advanced tab and the seperator page button at this tab asks for a seperator page document. If blank, it shouldn't do a seperator sheet. However, if the server is set for a seperator sheet, there is little that I can do to change this except at the server.
