Is their a log in NT4 of jobs sent to the spooler?

In the event viewer under system log, filter event source 'Print'. This will contain information on all submitted print jobs to all printers configured on that server.

Not in my system logs. Print messages are only about printers rejecting jobs or being purged. Does it have to be turned on?

Never mind. Aswered my own question. You have to turn on Log Spooler Information Events to get info other than errors (Advanced tab of Server properties in Printers folder File menu).
