Printer keeps locking up constantly

Hi Everyone,
I am looking for assistance with the printer connected to our Nortel Meridian 81C terminal that keeps locking up. When making changes in the PBX, the printer will print a few lines, then lock up. I have to turn it off, wait a few seconds then turn it back on. I have tried changing the baud rate on the serial card attached to the printer and on the terminal, no luck yet! Anyone have any ideas besides throwing it out the window. Any info is appreciated.

the window is the best way to go, if you change the baud of the switch to 300 baud, the printer can keep up. the good news is a junk pc can keep up at 19.2
