When my scanner and printer are hooked up, my Canon BJC-2100
gives error "printer not responding". The scanner functions properly when the printer gets this message. I can resolve this problem by hooking the printer directly to the parallel port and rebooting the system, after I print one page with the printer directly hooked up, I hook the scanner (HP Scan Jet 3200C) back up and they both function properly until the system is shut down again, then I have to repeat this process to get them to function again. I have changed all my cables and checked my ports and connections, I have tried adjusting all the printer settings fron directional to bidirectional comms, spooling, background printing. I can't find a resolution
