Printer for an 81C

Is a dot matrix printer the only option available to print from our Nortel Meridian 81C? Our old printer died and would really like to get a laser, is that a possiblity?

As long as you can set up a serial connection it should work fine. Just make sure the baud rate is set correctly.

better bet, kill the dumb term.. connect a pc to the com, install procomm..with a local printer or even a network printer.. you can connect a serial printer to a dunb term, just go into setup on the term and pick that option,, then no speed or baud.. vt 320 or better.. i save everything to a file, but print sets to send with techs to the field

Where do I get ProComm and how much? I see that one of our vendors used it when he was he installing our new "used" 81C.

any software store, office depot etc.. you might look on line and save a few bucks.. runs about a hundred over the counter
