Hi,
I have an ERP system running on an old HP3000. Some print documents are routed to some formatting software (Streamserve) running on a W2K PC. All was fine when our domain controller was NT, but now we have a W2K3 server set-up I get Event ID 4008 from LPDSVC on the destination PC, with the error message:
Printer \\10.44.0.19\= specified in the request from 10.44.0.20 does not exist: request ignored
where 10.44.0.20 is the HP3000 and 10.44.0.19 is the PC running Streamserve. The ports are set up as 'passthru' to local folders, the share name being the queue from the HP. I can print to them from Windows, but it looks like the queue name is being dropped off when requested from the HP. The only changes were to IP addresses, apart from the change of environment.
Anyone got any clues?
Paul
