Hi, I wish you all the best for 2004.

A group of users is using a different type of printer. On this printer we would like to have the possibility to choose which papertray is used for a specific report.
Generally, for all other users, the default settings are used.
Is it possible to send a report to a specific tray in case the user is "John" or "Mary"?

Thanks very much.
Hans

There is no Access solution that I'm aware of, but you could try these 2 things:

1. When the users print reports they could manually open the printer properties and select the tray which the printer uses.

2. Setup a second printer for the print device. The second printer could be configured to only use one tray. Then, the users could use this printer for the reports.

Why make it simple and efficient when it can be complex and wonderful?

This sounds very good. Didn't think of that possibility, thank you very much, i'll try that one.

Manual is no solution as I'm printing a set of reports of which some have to be on other paper.
As far as I could see and tried, the printersettings only allow for other things, as paperwidth, margins aso.

Greetings
Hans
