Hi everybody!

I am getting difficulty choosing a printer. Please advise me.

I usually print around 5000 pages per month on both sides of the paper, mostly black. I don’t need colour often but when I need it, its in large amount. Recently I had to print some 500 pages in colour in one go.

I’ve already decided to buy a colour laser printer.

Since I need to print on both sides on paper, I thought an automatic duplex printer would be better, but is it true? My concern is paper jam. Which one causes paper jam more, automatic or manual duplex more. Also, is it true that duplex printing causes the drum to wear out more easily?

I don’t have any network. I can invest up to $650.

So which model would you recommend me that would be most economic for me in the long run?

Thanking you in advance.

Looking at the same myself and I have found that the most economic for both printer price and replacement toner cartridges seem to be the Brother range. They seem to be real workhorses.
