Hello All,

I am searching for a javascript or other applet that allows me to have a user print from my site without having windows printer selection popup. Simply have it print to default printer. I've seen this before, but not sure how it was done.

Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Bruce

I am also in need for the same info.

I want to know if there is any way, that when the page loads, I execute an onload event in my body tag, and print the page on to my default printer without having the print dialog box to even show up!

Thanks,

This can't be done through the browser window. Can you imagine going to a site and someone putting a print command on the page for, say, 20 or more pages of stuff, without the user being able to confirm whether they wanted to print or not?

Actually, this can be done in IE....

This isn't the orginal code, but check out -gerrygerry

Standard response to one of my posts:
"No where in your entire rantings did you come anywhere close to what can be considered a rational answer. We are all now dumber from having heard that. I award you no points and may God have mercy on your soul."

I checked out the site you referred to, gerrygerry, and the code it refers to uses a bug in early versions of IE 6.0. That bug has since been patched, if I read it correctly as the same ActiveX hole that created problems with running executables without user permission. Norton Anti-Virus will catch this code, as well, and documented it several months ago.
