I'm trying to make a report to print product labels one at a time on a little printer that prints single labels that are 3 inches wide and 1 inch tall. I've printed out sheets of labels before, but I can't get everything formatted correctly when I try to print with this little label printer. Any ideas? Also, I need it to print out a barcode, which is just a font right? How do I get that font imported into Crystal so I can print out a barcode? Thanks.

Ahh, someone else has entered the dark underworld of thermal label printers and Crystal Reports...

Here are some questions:
1) What kind of printer is it?
2) Are you using the drivers that came with it? (because the drivers here - - will probably work better)
3) What version of Crystal?
4) Do you have direct access to the printer (i.e. can you select that printer from File>Printer Setup)?
5) How will the report be deployed, or will it just be run straight from Crystal?

I've had an equal amount of successes and failures with these things, but I can try to help you.

Actually, I found a link on the web at It was fairly easy to get it up and running. I do have another question though. I need people on other computers to be able to print the labels. I'm using Crystal Reports 9.0. What would be the easiest way to create something that they can run on their own machines. I've never integrated a report into an application before. Would a little VB app or a .NET app be easy to create that will call this report so other people can print it? Thanks
