Print problem with Excel 2003 1

I have approximately 35 users running WinXP and Office 2003. Slowly one by one they have trouble printing from Excel, not any of the other applications in Office 2003.
What happens is they try to print, and nothing happens. No error, no message and no reaction from the printer. They can however print to a different printer on the network. It is also an intermittent problem as sometimes they can actually print!
I have seached high and low and applied patches, reinstalled printer drivers, but to no solution. Microsoft dont even seem to be aware of the problem if indeed it is a bug within Excel 2003.
If there is anyone out there with a similar problem and a solution, please let me know!

Do you empty their temp folders regularly?

No on a regular basis. will this sort the problem?

Not necessarily, but it certainly cannot hurt to try. In particular, files that contain VBA access the temp folder all the time. A dirty temp folder can sorely mess with resources...

Let me add a "me too" here on having the problem. 2 users out of about 400 have reported the problem and nothing we've tried has fixed it. I'll look at their temp folders; I'm game for anything at this point.
