Print Operators group on a member server

I have member server hosting print services in a windows 2000 domain. The print operators group is not showing up in the domain when I try to add it to a printer. Is there a way to add this group to a member print server?

the print operators group is Domain Local and can only be accessed from a DC.

Thanks for your help. I will just create my own print admins group.
