I am new to VFP and would like to be able to send a file to a local printer from an application. Could someone please point me in the right direction to accomplish this? Thanks in advance for any response.

Hi
would like to be able to send a file to a local printer from an application.

1. Use the report wizard to create your report. Follow the wizards guidance. Let us say the name of the report is myReport
2. Then from your prg or forms button..
REPORT FORM myReport PREVIEW PRINTER PROMPT

This will help to see the report in a view window and then if chosen to print it.. will print it to the printer.

TYPE myTextFile.txt TO PRINTER PROMPT

Try:
SET PRINTER ON
SET DEVICE TO PRINT
TYPE myTextFile.txt TO PRINTER PROMPT
